If humans are kings of the animal world, trees are the rulers among plants. In my childish dreams, trees always were, are and will be pure living creatures gifted with a soul, equal to humans, and sometimes even better than most of us.

The coloring on this was done right amazing! The soft look to it combined with the calm nature of the character really makes it shine. I liked this enough to put it as my desktop wallpaper!

The strongest showing of personality. Michio's posture and expression alone tell me a lot about him. I also really like him using his powers on the chess piece instead of holding it in his hand, just because he can. This was really well done.

"The Antikythera Mechanism is an ancient orrery much alike to the astronomical clock that we know today. It was used to predict astronomical positions for calendrical purposes.  Since it was also used to predict when can people see certain constellations, I used the famous constellation Andromeda, the chained princess, to also represent that the artifact is from the country Greece. The artifact was found on the Antikythera shipwreck thus explaining the sea theme, the pieces of wood, and the silhouette of a shipwreck at the background. You can also see the artifact which is composed of gears and is rusted while buried in the sand."

The theme is your choice of subject tutorial contest.
1. You may choose any area of art you wish to do a tutorial on,

    Sept 15. This will give everyone time to create their tutorials.
3. The only restriction is that it must be a tutorial that you have created yourself.
    It must contain  written description  or instructions. It cannot be just images alone.

To celebrate a new character that I just created for my comic, I want to hold a contest.
Draw her, and name her! (because I suck at naming characters and I'd love to get some help with that.)

And yes, she has freckles. She's a Hegan (a human-like race I created for my comic).
Here's a short story about what happened to her when she was caught by the Griffin Queen, Clair:

                        The base story..
  On a plane room, their are 18 people, one for each type. Each of them knew each other, but not very well. Everyone ,eventually, fell asleep. Or so it seemed. A yell came abruptly. The ones who were awakened ran to the sound producer. It was the entp ( read the whole thing please, entp). Intj, who was a doctor, could not see anything wrong with him,and didn't even believe he was dead. The Girl is Amanda and the dragon/demon is Levi. They are 1/2 demon (mother) and 1/2 Human (father) I know real original but stay with me, They live in a kinda post apocalyptic but not real shitty world. (Like a zombie apocalypse just happen right down the street and some people are freaking out while others don't give a shit cause the zombies are slow and kinda retarded so they just keep the door shut) And are bounty hunters/go getters basically will take any kind of job for money.
